'49 Coupe Chop

Spent the afternoon starting the chop on the coupe, here's where I'm at.

First job was removing the dash

then some bracing to stop the body flexing

A few cuts later and 5" out of the A-posts

Roadster??

I got the A-posts tacked and called it a day

The rear may come down another inch, we'll see.

The fun continues tomorrow!

49 Ford Coupe Project

This is a shop car and is going to be a semi-long term project only being worked on between customers vehicles and in my free time which is limited. The car is to be a period(ish) correct late 50's custom, roof chopped with a Y-block ford V8 for power. We currently have a 2 week gap between waiting on parts to finish the Cafe Racer and the next customer project. First up is the chop, I started marking a few things up at the tail end of the day today but work will start tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates!

Rear light braket

One of the few items left on the to-do list for the CB was a rear light / license plate holder. I fab'd this up this afternoon and crossed it of the list!

Not bikes, but still cool

We like to support local businesses/individuals. Here in Chattanooga, there's a guy who's looking to move from his current full-time ho-hum job to creating his leather pieces as his full-time work. At the minute, we are consigning his hand tooled/laced/dyed wallets (from $40) and key rings ($20). They're cool, and he takes custom orders so you can have a one-of-a-kind wallet. In the future, he'll add leather motorcycle seats to the collection. Check Robert out on instagram @linkage13. Contact us if you'd like one of the wallets or key rings that we're carrying. We can get one shipped out to you.

Back to work!

After a couple of weekends of show prep etc... it's back to full steam ahead at the shop, finishing off our little CB350F Cafe Racer. For those who haven't seen the build pics on the website here's a before and a current picture.

World of Wheels Chattanooga

We had a fantastic weekend at the World of Wheels in Chattanooga. Time really flew for us, speaking to people about work and stories of adventures past. We especially liked the one from the couple (now in their 70's) who ran from the police 2 up on their Bonneville on regular occasion, every now and then they'd get caught, he would go to jail for the weekend and she would get taken home!!

We were humbled by the amount of attention our Triumph received by the public and even more so when we won: Top 5, Best Bobber, Outstanding Engine, Outstanding Paint and Outstanding Bike in the ISCA classes.

Thank you to everyone for the support!!
